Dr. Guru Prasad Peruri is a MBBS graduate from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam. He did his MD Pediatrics from PGIMER and was awarded Bronze medal for his academic performance during residency period. He pursued super specialisation in Neonatology at JIPMER, Puducherry and gained expertise in managing critical sick newborns that include babies with prematurity, low birth weight, birth defects, birth asphyxia, Jaundice and their neurodevelopment follow up and vaccination. He is known for his skills in neonatal ventilation, point of care ultrasound and  difficult procedures like blood exchange for jaundice, peritoneal dialysis for renal failure. He is a popular teacher among his post graduate students, colleagues, nursing staff and has experience in conducting numerous workshops. His way of treating babies in an empathetic and compassionate manner along with ethical and evidence based care made him a favourite among parents.  He loves teaching and mentors students for competitive exams.
